ಪಿಳ್ಳಂಗೋವಿಯ ಚೆಲುವ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ

ನಂದಗೋಪನ ಮಂದಿರಗಳ ಸಂದುಗೊಂದಿನಲಿ
ಚಂದ ಚಂದದ ಗೋಪಬಾಲರ ವೃಂದ್ವೃಂದದಲಿ
ಸುಂದರಾಂಗದ ಸುಂದರಿಯರ ಹಿಂದುಮುಂದಿನಲಿ

ಈ ಚರಾಚರದೊಳಗೆ ಜನಂಗಳಾಚೆ ಈಚೆಯಲಿ
ಖೇಚರೇಂದ್ರನ ಸುತನ ರಥದ ಚೌಕ ಪೀಠದಲಿ
ನಾಚದೆ ಮಾಧವ ಎಂಬ ಭಕ್ತರ ವಾಚಕಂಗಳಲಿ

“Have you seen the charming Krishna holding the flute?
Where have you seen Lord Ranga? Where have you seen him?”
“Wherever one looks, the wise say that he is present everywhere.”
“In Nandagopa’s palace corridors,
Amidst groups of delightful cowherd boys,
Among beautiful maidens surrounding his graceful form,
And amidst herds of charming calves.”
“In auspicious moments of eternal yogic practices,
In the profound rituals performed in Vedic sacrifices,
As the embodiment of prosperity in joyous celebrations,
And in the melodies sung by devoted bhagavatas with deep reverence.”
“Within the vast expanse of this animate and inanimate creation,
On the chariot pedestal of the son of the celestial king,
In the words of devotees fearlessly calling him ‘Madhava,’
And in the gaze of Purandara Vittala’s all-seeing eyes.”
